CLBMG (Cool Laid Back Media Group) is not only an internationally respected hip hop music label, but also an urban marketing & promotion company specializing in dynamic, streetwise events and capitalizing on the 18 to 45 demographic in regards to clothing, branding and online reach. CLB has been in the promotion business for a minimum of 15 years, under various monikers, but have decided that the CLB ('Cool Laid Back') attitude was perfect for us to settle upon and we have done such.
CLBMG is the brainchild of Charles 'Challz' Brown, a current resident of Providence, Rhode Island, a transplanted Washington DC native. His drive and savvy has contributed to his name being synonymous with some of the biggest and coolest events in New England and abroad. So much so that CLB has amassed a huge online following via various facebbok, twitter, instagram and myspace pages. In short... we have a long reach. Our results have been proven time and time again and our brand recognition has been attached to some of the biggest venues in the state. Our goal... to be able to take clients and move them with ease through the tough cluttered demographic which is highly coveted by corporations and small business owners and have them excel in a market that was before now only reachable by actually living, eating and breathing it daily. Challz BrownChallz Brown, DC native now resides in Providence RI. Only puts on his artist hat when he feels inspired and ONLY then will he go on to make real life music via his first passion… hip hop. Born in the District of Columbia, aka 'chocolate city' the semi-southern boy has made a name for himself in the industry by becoming a NAME in the industry. Challz took what was not given and made his way along a road unpaved... never asking for more than a fair shake but rarely receiving fair treatment, he survives. Persistent at a craft that leaves most decimated, he still remains... at the top of his game. They wouldn't give him a mic so he had to get his own, they wouldn't give him a voice he talked over theirs and they wouldn't give him a stage so built his own... forever the champion of the mis-understood... he will never quit... call me Challz The Negotiator, The Practice, God-Tou, Codine Candles, Chuckwick Illz or The Good... but call on me and I will ARISE!
